What we keep, and what we do not

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and follows nobody. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to write to us.

In short

No cookies, no tracking

There are no cookies on this site, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts. Nothing follows you here and nothing follows you away.

Only what you type

We receive personal information in one place only: the contact form. If you never write to us, we never hold anything about you.

It stays with the estate

Your message arrives in our own mailbox and is read by the people who work here. We do not sell it, trade it or pass it to anyone for marketing.

01

Who we are

Montville is an Armenian brandy estate. This notice covers the website at montville.eu and the enquiries we receive through it.

For anything about your personal information, including any request described below, write to info@montville.eu or to Montville, 66 Yerem Karapetyan St., Shahumyan, Ararat Province, Republic of Armenia.

02

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. Nothing else in the form is hidden, and there are no fields you cannot see.

Our server briefly notes the network address a message was sent from, purely to stop the form being used by automated senders. It is held in memory for a short period and never written to a file or joined to anything else.

03

Why we use it

To read your message and reply to it. That is the whole purpose. If your enquiry concerns distribution or a trade relationship, we may also keep it while that conversation continues.

Where the law requires us to name a basis for this, it is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, for trade enquiries, the steps taken at your request before any agreement.

04

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies whatsoever, which is why you were never shown a cookie banner.

Two small preferences are remembered by your own browser and never sent to us or to anyone else. They stay on your device and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

  • Your confirmation that you are of legal drinking age, so the notice is not shown on every visit.
  • The language you chose, so the site opens in it next time.

05

Who else sees it

Only the companies that run the plumbing, and only to the extent the plumbing requires. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or marketing partners, because we do not do any of that.

  • Microsoft, whose email service delivers and stores the message you send us.
  • Vercel, whose servers host this website and keep short-lived technical logs of requests to it.

06

Where it goes

The estate is in Armenia, and the services above may process data in the European Economic Area and elsewhere. That means your message may travel outside the country you sent it from.

Where information leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards our providers put in place for such transfers, and on the fact that sending us a message is your own deliberate act.

07

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our mailbox for as long as they remain useful to the conversation, and are then removed. A message that leads nowhere is not kept indefinitely.

If you ask us to delete your message, we will, unless we are required to keep it for a legal or accounting reason.

08

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law gives you rights over your personal information. You can exercise any of them by writing to info@montville.eu, and we will not charge you for it.

  • Ask what we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
  • Have anything inaccurate corrected.
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it at all.
  • Receive what you gave us in a portable form.

09

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your information badly, please tell us first, so we have the chance to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

10

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the revised version appears on this page and the date at the top of it changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we do with your information and leave the wording as it was.

Questions about any of this

Write to us and a person will answer. Privacy questions reach the same mailbox as everything else.
